If the Dave’s could pull half the stunts the Glazers have - they 100% would.

Guess we are lucky that west ham hasn’t the size or scope of Manchester United.

"Buy low...gain control...
Incur massive debt paid for by club while asset value rises
..owners gain interest...club pays debt payments...
Eventually soon owners get money back...thence regular fat interest payments with little risk for them..."

you just described the cunts that own us

Re: Well Done Man U fans Great Protest!
But they did rip up over 100 years of history and move us to an athletics stadium based on a series of lies. Money isn't everything, and what they took is irreplaceable. What the glazers have taken isn't... and man utd have spent plenty, they just haven't spent it very well

And our fans did slash plods face
Or launch shit at sky
Or break in anywhere

if anything sums up the corrupt Prem, it's the fact the Glazers sailed through its 'Fit-and-proper-person test'.

The Glazers make the pimps look like saints, but the the fact media bias even extends to their fans is laughable.

All I could see was a lot of unruly kids jumping on the bandwagon.
When I start to see 40+ year olds demonstrating against these owners I might take it a bit more seriously.

I wonder how many of those fans that got onto the pitch are ST holders.

Re: Well Done Man U fans Great Protest!
Will have to be punishments.

Otherwise other fans will think they can break into grounds and get matches postponed without any comeback.

They will each be banned and I guess done for trespass or illegal entry but the club at fault for lack of security.

After the bomb scare issue couple of years back Man Utd must be in some kind of suspended punishment.

Threw a flare and a full beer can at the Sky platform, smashed a camera, slashed a policemans face with a broken bottle and injured another officer = Freedom fighters doing it for the good of the little teams

The hypocrisy as many have pointed out when compared to our Burnley protest as others have pointed out is amazing.

And will say again.... its a DELIBERATE distraction to avoid the punishment that Man U and the other 5 clubs deserve.

Re: Well Done Man U fans Great Protest!
Outside of the so called 'top six' which other club in the premiership, championship etc would have got away with forcing a match to be postponed, police injured and not a mention of points deducted, relegation or massive fines?? Whatever ones views of the Glazers manu fans were very happy when they were investing £100's of millions in transfer fees and obscene salaries.

The game is corrupt and in many ways I would have loved to see the SIX form their own league in Europe provided they were banned from all UK domestic competitions.

As an aside I gather the Evening Standard ran an article regarding Moyes comments that we have received 8 red cards 5 of which were rescinded. No idea over what period this refers to but I would be very surprised if over the same period the 'top six' had that many rescinded red cards between them? Sick!!

I hate corporate businesses. I dont know why. Maybe they just create an identikit homogenous World of Coke and Heineken and McDonalds and plastic cups and TV sport and the endless souless sameness of all the shit.

With football the thing that identifies a difference is the supporters. The corporate owners would prefer the supporters to be all automoton Singaporean happy clappers supping shit corporate beer that's paying a fortune to advertise.

I fucking hate The corporate World.

It’s fucking mental how man United fans are painted as the freedom fighters of English football.
Our fans protest about similar issues and we are scum and hooligans. Imagine if we’d thrown a flare at the sky commentator??

It stinks, and they’ll get away it.

That said, the double standards of the media when you look at how they’re covering this compared to how they cover our protests, the Burnley game for instance.

This x 10000. Its absolutely fucking outrageous

Re: Well Done Man U fans Great Protest!
As much as I like the fact they protested and understand their reasons for it and also understand that just because a few went too far, doesn’t mean the protest itself wasn’t a good one. Every fan base has its idiots.

Claiming only 100 broke Into old Trafford, when clearly there’s double that at least.

Every commentator on it, even if they’re condemning the violence they are making sure they say how they understand the protests and how they feel for the fans.

I'm sure they will all be happy when its a level playing field and they cant buy all our top young footballers and dismantle our team.

as they have done for years .

Re: Well Done Man U fans Great Protest!
They showed half a dozen police entering the stadium about an HOUR after the fans broke in.
Seemed to be minimal police if any when the initial protests were happening.
Eventually they turned up and cleared the stadium concourse and the front of the team hotel.
To me it looked like they could have got the players to the stadium for an evening kick off but believe the yobs got into the change rooms so they may have needed a COVID deep clean.

No reason why they couldn't have rearranged for a 9am kick off this morning before Man U head to Rome.

Is there a particular reason why plod didnt show up to disperse this mob so a game could take place?

Not read whole thread so sorry if this has already been covered.
